It is known as the "world's finest cacao hybrid" Trinitario cacao thrives near the Equator, which makes Peru an ideal growing region. The pods are harvested when mature and range in color from light to
medium shades of purple. The flavor is often described as earthy, fruity and sometimes a bit spicy with hints of cinnamon.
